A Primer of Drug Action by Robert M. Julien might be helpful. It has about twenty pages on cocaine for the 'serious lay reader.' And why not just go to a library and browse at your liesure until you find the sorts of things you want.
What frustrates me when I go searching for info on drugs is the fact that there seems to be so little known that I want to know, and so much that I neither understand nor want to.
Don't forget Medline.
