I didn't call my md in time this week to get my effexor and wellbutrin refilled.
I'm taking 225 mg effexor xr and 150 mg wellbutrin. This therapy is just so-so.
Anyway, what would happen if I started taking Serzone, 150 mg, until I get to my doctor to refill my Effexor and Wellbutrin? I've wanted to try Serzone anyway, but when I don't take the Effexor, I get so dizzy and ill. I just wonder if the Serzone is similar enough that it will carry me over until I get my Effexor.

If in doubt, use the Drug Interaction Checker at www.drkoop.com

Well, I take both serzone and effexor, and they are compatible. BUT, my experience is that the serzone WILL NOT fill in for the effexor, will not hold you over. Are you prescribed serzone? IMHO, you should fill the effexor asap and not have a lapse in doses, and should not take serzone unless it is prescribed. It is not an easy drug to initiate. There can be lots of initial side effects to get over.
