Thank God for Effexor XR..
I started Effexor XR 2 weeks ago, at 75 mg. Within hours I felt that the egde was gone , I had energy and I felt wonderful.
I was a bit afraid at first, I thought it might set off a manic episode , but it was just energy i haven't had for so long, althought the energy has been waining.
I had been on Remeron for apx. 3 weeks with terrible side effects.. sleeping for hours, preseption problems, and it just wasn't doing the trick.I have been on anti depessants for years, mostly Prozac, but it stoped giving me the best effect it can , so i tried many diffrent things( wellbutrin, paxil, remeron, zoloft and a few others) over the years but always went back to prozac. I hope Effexor XR keeps working , yes the withdrawl symtoms sound bad but its a risk i am willing to take to feel this good.
I have asked my Dr. to increse my dosage to get the energy benefit back, he says lets wait a few weeks...I am loving life again... :) Tara
