i'm just completing my 12th day of being off effexor. this after an unpleasant tapering process of 37.5 mg per week (i began at 300 mg). after about six days of being off the drug, it seemed like a lot of the unpleasantness cleared. i figured i was home free. but the last few days have been really bad. i don't have the electric shock vertigo anymore, but my energy level is extremely low and i have a general feeling of disorienting, surreal sadness. can anyone tell me how long this lasts for? another thing i should mention is my doc put me on zoloft due to the withdrawal and i've been at 100 mg for about two weeks. i don't know how i'd feel without it, but it doesen't seem to be helping much.
