Yes! It is still working for me full force, and I did end up deciding to raise the dose to 30mg this past Tuesday. It's working out wonderfully for me. I'm feeling better every day, and still NO side effects. I want to kiss the feet of the wo/man who developed this wonderful drug. I've mentioned before that I've tried Celexa and there's no comparison, for me.
I just went back on Atkins a few days ago, and the first two days are hard, as you're using up your glucose stores, but now I feel pretty much ecstatic! I found a great job doing what I love (recording engineer for local bands), which is phenomenal considering I'm an agoraphobe. But at 20 years old, I suppose this is how I *should* feel. And I'm thankful that I finally do. Next stop is to switch from Tranxene-SD to Xanax XR when it's released. Will keep you updated, as always. :-)

That is great. It's always nice to hear of successful SP treatments. Definitely keep us updated with the Xanax SR!
Is Celexa the only other med you've tried in the past? I'm getting ready to try Zoloft for my SP and am keeping my fingers crossed that it'll work out. Klonopin/Provigil works great for me, but I'm looking for more of a daily "baseline" treatment. Perhaps I'll give Lexapro a try if the Z is a bust!
Best of luck,
Rocket

Klonopin/Provigil works great for me, but I'm looking for more of a daily "baseline" treatment. Perhaps I'll give Lexapro a try if the Z is a bust!Actually I've tried pretty much anything you can imagine for SP, except for Parnate and most of the tricyclics (which are generally thought to be useless for SP anyway). The antipsychotics and mood-stabilizers were a big bust for me... none of them seemed to have any effect, good or bad. I take Neurontin now, but mostly because it helps with my fibromyalgia pain.
Other than that, there's been Adderall, Ritalin, Dexedrine, Desoxyn, Xanax, Valium, Serax, Tranxene, Klonopin, Ativan, Inderal, Corgard, Equanil, Seconal, Amytal, Solfoton, Ultram, codeine, pentazocine, Remeron, Serzone, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Nardil, Prozac, Paxil, Celexa, Luvox, and yes, Zoloft. Some of these helped me a bit, but the side effects made continuing treatment impossible. All of the benzos worked, though Valium made me depressed after a while. The stimulants helped a bit too and I still take a Desoxyn every now and then.
Zoloft was actually the first drug I was ever prescribed, along with a prescription for low-dose Xanax. It didn't agree with me at all, but I know it helps a lot of people. I had the same reaction my aunt had to the drug, violent anger and suicidal thoughts. She was switched to Prozac and has been doing well on that for years, but it took me quite a bit longer to find what works for me.
This is the end of the thread.
