I have been taking Zoloft for 7 years and my doctor has recently changed me to Lexapro. The first week I took 1 zoloft (100mg) and 1 lexapro(10mg). Now I am on the second week of just taking 2 lexapros(20mg). I was wondering if anyone else has had the same side effects, which include bad nightmeres, trouble sleeping, headaches, and jittery feeling. I don't know if it's too low of a dose for me or if this is not the drug for me. I was on 200mg of zoloft a day.

"Recommended" dosage of Lexapro is 10mg, but there are many here who take more than that. I am @ 10mg, going on 5 mos.
The SE's you describe are common to Lex and should diminish and go away with time. Please do not get discouraged w/SE's which can get bad for some, in almost all cases they DO go away.
GOOD LUCK and we're all pulling for you!
This is the end of the thread.
