Been on Zoloft three weeks, Zyprexa 10mg (two weeks) for Cyclothymia, longest darkest depression that I couldn't shake like in the past. Maybe simple malnutrition from extended diet of rice beans and coffee. Spent winter in a tent, lost contact with everyone. Slept for days at a time. Was clean while at tent. Bad manic move across country, wasted for two weeks, woke up in tent with scorpions and snakes (not hallucinations). Been clean while on meds, first time with legal meds. Why do I feel stoned all morning? Why have I gained five pounds in two weeks? Why are my dreams so vivid? Why do I crave bacon and chocolate? Family empathizes but don't understand why I can't sell myself to employers. I am, or used to be, intelligent and productive. What's happening? I need a drink!

I feel you comrad, with the Zyprexa. Just to give a bit of a contrast, I was only taking 5mg. Zyprexa at night and sleeping well into the 12-13 hour range and pigging out on fatty foods when I was awake. It became a double-edged sword for me, so now I ONLY take it when I'm in serious need of sedation or sleep. Otherwise, I just can't stand the side effects on a regular basis.
