zyprexa, celexa, which causes anhedonia/flat affec

Posted by cybercafe on August 20, 2003, at 15:07:51

taking 3.75 mg zyprexa, 60 mg celexa...

any idea which would be more likely to cause this flat feeling... lack of emotional response.... never really feeling excited ... (when even normal people laugh, smile, show more emotion)

man it is like EVERYONE ELSE is bipolar now and i'm the (overly)stable guy

That is definitely the Zyprexa. I know what you mean- I was on it for 8 months and NOTHING would faze me.

I still think it was good for what it did, though.

Zyprexa, thats why I want less and less, wish I could stop taking it with out feeling bad. I longer I've been taking Z the more unemotional I feel. I feel like all my emotions come from logical thoughts I have to force out on comand.

Both, actually. And 3.75 mg Zyprexa is a fairly small dose, so most of that may be coming from the Celexa, I'd say... but you never know. Anti-psychotics, are of course, notorious for destroying emotional response.
