Dopamine Dilema

Posted by Ima on September 3, 2003, at 10:40:28

Hi Folks,

Id like to get some opinions on dopamine agonist.

I am mildly BPII my highs arent often or that high. They dont usually last for more than a day.
I dont know much about mixed states but irritabilty is on going problem.

My depression is characterized by

lack of motivation.
little drive, sex or otherwise, apathy, immobility, etc...

SSRIs alone provoke mania.

Im not totally opposed to the typical combo of mood stabilser/ssri. (but it isnt going to help my drives)

I like what Ive read about dopamine.

Is any one here, who is BP using this type of med. alone or in comboniation, and how is it working out?

Thanx
peace
Ima
