Can Xanax be taken on an occasional basis for event-related anxiety, if one is taking Adderall daily ?
Daily Klonopin made me feel 'heavy' and in the mornings 'drugged', & totally defeating the benefit i was getting from Adderall in the deep down daysleep blackhole gravity department.
i have had distinctly bad results from Seroquel. <-Pill induced narcolepsy at even the smallest dose, perscribed to be taken at the time of 'anxiety response', it made an anxious situation a disaster.
i was given a Xanax by my primary MD, in the throes of an immobilizing pre-Wedding anxiety spike. It worked gently and invisibly (without side-effect), and i could finish dressing and got to the wedding feeling calm and 'myself'. When the Xanax wore off, i didn't notice, but it was gone, no lingering in my body when it was no longer needed. i like that.
My anxiety responses to personal stress-charged events are getting fewer and farther apart.
Would Xanax be a safe thing to have on hand to use only if needed? (Safe/effective in combo with daily ADDerall, i mean)

Yep, perfectly safe. A bunch of us on here take amphetamines together with benzos. For me it's DextroStat and Klonopin.

I take Xanax and Adderall together, and also take Klonopin on a daily basis. I'm not aware of any problems with this combination, and it works well for me. I take Adderall every day, and Xanax once in a while.
