Should I take effexor

Posted by deepdarkhole on December 23, 2003, at 16:14:01

I have tried a number of different ADs. I can't stand the side effects of any of them. My pdoc says if I take klonipin at the same time I can manage.

He has now started me on effexor. I have only taken it twice. I am so tired I can't stand it. I also am having breathing problems and my skin burns.

What do you guys think? Should I quit? I have heard terrible stories about withdrawal. I am wondering if I should try something different or nothing at all.

My main problem is anxiety. The symptoms however are scarey. I feel detached from myself.

Do you think I need something? SHould it be effexor?

I'm on my 4th week of Effexor XR at 75mg. I felt wierd at first but it only lasted a few days and my body adjusted. I don't even notice I am taking it now. Maybe give it a few more days.
