I tried to go off my elavil to start this celexa but at 400 in the morning yesterday i had to take my elavil which made me freak out more because i took it in the morning when your suppose to take it at night. Well im at my witts end and dont know what to do. I cant come off my old meds and go on my new meds because im so scared, i will get my anxiety attacks. and im scared of what the new meds will do, im an idiot i know but my husband thinks im nuts. The anxiety was so bad yesterday that i screamed out loud please just kill me know because i cant take these feelings. I dont have health insurance til march and cant afford to go to the psy. doc, my pcp is not that sympatetic. any advise will help.

Hi,
How were you getting your meds before? You could go to a community mental health clinic, they usually take PCP plans. Can you talk to your insurance co. about this? You're not nuts- everyone goes through a rough time and the feelings can be overwhelming. My anxiety goes from bad to mild at any given time and it is hard. I hope you will feel better.

GOd i am so scared to up my dose of remeron too, but we will do it one day, nothing is gonna happen, plse be calm, ask for a benzo to tie you over.. do it, when you done it you will feel happy not worried, try taking your new med as you are going to bed..

I am sooooooo sorry that you are going through this anxiety hell.
I am with Donna: ask for a benzo. If I didnt' have klonopin (which is cheap.....well, they all are) I never would have had the guts to try any new meds that were "stimulating".
I really hope you feel better soon.
