Hello everyone,
Could anyone give me any ideas on what they consider to be the best treatment for extreme depressive anxiety, GAD, social phobia, etc. from either Sulpride or Amisulpride?
I've never taken either drug and just wondered what the difference between the two was?
Also what dose is suitable for extreme anxiety and depression (no psychosis), on either drug? I am currently on 150mg Efexor XR, but its done absolutley NOTHING for my anxiety, and only moderately helped my depression.
I don't want to try MAOIs due to the side effectes/dietary requirements, and I don't want to take benzodiazepines everyday (although I do take Valium when I'm really anxious).
Is anyone aware of any drug more effective than Sulpride/Amisulpride for anxiety/depression?
Any advice anyone?

Anyhow, I've only had experience with dogmatil (sulpiride) and 150mg/d seems to be a rather effective dose for anxiety/depression and this is the dosage I've seen used in about every clinical trial. I think this equates to a 75mg dose of amisulpride. The only reason I used sulpiride is because it was all I could get my hands on w/o a script. I'm now on a benzo and a stimulant just cause I was tired of having to order the stuff from overseas; this combo seems to help just as well with my dysthymia, inattentive ADD, and social phobia..
