i had really good experiences with serzone 2 years ago but i stopped because of all the reports on fatal liver damage. It was the only med that ever really helped me and was wondering if anybody still takes it despited the negative reports. I really want to start it again but dont know. thanks.

It is a fairly low risk, so you must weigh the pro's and the con's. If you do believe that it can help you in a way that other antidepressants can't then perhaps it's worth the risk.
Perhaps routine liver testing could minimalize the risk even more.
Best of Luck

Hi:
My dear friend has been on Serzone more than four(4) years, and still going on strong. His liver seems pretty tough, because there is/are no complains about this med. Serzone.
In the past, he did almost quit as thinking about other med. SSRI class, ... but still this med., Serzone seems #1 in the world of his depression and anxiety.

I've been on Serzone a long time. I get my liver enzymes checked a few times a year. Once, a few years ago, one of the nonspecific enzymes was slightly elevated. Since then, my tests always come back normal.
This is the end of the thread.
