I am a little confused. Are people gaining weight on effexor because it is making them want to eat more or because of a different reason. Please explain.

Hi Jamie
No, Effexor is not making people want to eat more, it just causes weight gain (in some people). You must consider yourself a guine-pig and try and see what works for you. It's not suppose to cause weight gain according to my dr. but I have gained. Good luck to you and keep me posted on how you're doing!

I think it's water. When I went off it seemed that I urinated gallons of water every morning for about a week and the weight dropped dramatically.
This is the end of the thread.
