> linnielinnie, I am just starting my 7th week of Lexapro. I went from 10mg to 15mg in my 5th week; I started taking it for depression.
The Lex has helped the sadness and I haven't cried for awhile now, but it has caused insomnia, so I take Lorazepam at night. I also have that constant "wired but tired" feeling, which is very frustrating.
I kind of crashed after my 4th week; became tearful and anxious again, and that is why I increased to 15mg. The side effects from the increase were about the same as when I first started.
Others on this board have said that the side effects will go away eventually, and that is what keeps me from giving up.
Good luck! ...jlynne

I am also on 15 mgs up from 10 just about the way you did. I went to 15 because I started getting anxiety and still sad. Then a couple of weeks after 15 mgs, the anxiety started etc. BUT I have decided that I am not going to up it to 20 because if it can't work for me at 15, then it probably isn't for me. And anitdepressants haven't gotten bad pr lately.

Linnie, I am not ready to give up yet. The worst part for me is the wire/tired feeling and the fatigue, but I have been getting reassurance that these s/e's will pass. I am willing to try 20mg, but not for a couple more weeks, I think.
There are about a bazillion posts on this board from other Lex users. If you scroll up the threads on Psycho Babble, you will see them near the top. Look for the subject line: "Re: Kathrynlex" and you will see a very long thread of posts.
Good luck - I hope you find an answer. ...jlynne
