I have been on ativan 3 mg. a day, i don't take it that way, some days i take 6 and some days i take none. it doesn't seem to bother me that way. I have been on all sorts of meds -"mood stablizers" etc. I just want to know what suggestions anyone may have, my p doc is pretty willing to listen to me. I've also had a problem with alcohol in the past, before i got help, but i am not a 12 stepper. Any suggestion would be helpful, i just feel that i am not able to be up to the things my loved ones would like. Thank you.

don't know what to tell my pysch. I just don't want to end up down at the emergency room. I am afraid it may come to that.

Hey there,
I think it might help if you gave a synopsis of your overarching mental state. I.e. are you suffering from anxiety predominantly? Or is it some sort of bipolar? (You mention mood stabilizers.) It's kind of tough to suggest anything without knowing what's facing you.
Keep in mind, though, that while many folks on this board are quite knowledgable about medications, none (?) of us are licenced mental health professionals.
