Hi!
The events in my life that have caused me to take Zoloft for a couple of years are past. I'd like to start coming off the medication.
I'm on at 200mg daily. How would one come off this stuff? 50mg at a time? What's the interval between each drop?
Thanks folks!

very slowly! i was only on 50mg a year a go when i felt as you did-- better-- and decided it was time to taper down. i would go at most in increments of 25mg, smaller if possible. going from 50 to 25 was ok, but when i went from 25 to 0, the bottom felt like it fell out from under me.
i recently got off zoloft completely and without withdrawals. i had added prozac a few months before, so the drugs are probably similar enough that prozac covered. i have a bottle of zoloft liquid concentrate to taper down more slowly, but i didn't have to use it. some people recommend switching to a long half-life SSRI like prozac for tapering off. good luck!

There's some Threads on the Withdrawal Board about Zoloft there. Try looking on that Board. Fondly, Phillipa
