Are you talking about Ritalin SR20?
I tried it and could not distinguish when it started, or if it started working at all!
IR Methylphenidate is far easier to gauge the effects of, I have read that the SR20 should last 8 hours, but have read it is only partially absorbed, and is inconsistant as compared to the superior versions of Dexedrine, and Adderall XR.
The IR is easier to gauge and manage IMO, of course YMMY.

You have my sympathies, I don't get many responses either. I have just started ritalin and have interests in this drug, so hopefully some people will get interested.

Please keep trying. I'm sorry I don't know the answers to your questions because I don't have experience on those meds. Many knowledgeable and supportive people post here. Many of them are blocked right now, or may be avoiding the web because of virus fears. I appreciate your attempts to use this board as I think it was intended to be used, so I'm responding in the hopes that a longer thread will get noticed and to just generally give you some support.

I have read MANY reports of Ritalin SR20 tabs, and have been scripted it myself, as pushed by my PCDoc. The reports paint a very poor picture of Rit SR20 and it's efectiveness, as opposed to the other stimulant SR versions.
The general consenses is that Ritalin SR20 is somewhat of a 'bust' as to put it in a way to support it's effectiveness.
I, and MANY others on meds to treat their ails, prefer IR stimulants-whatever the stim is, as the control is a more user friendly usabable form of med.
Good luck, and let us know your experiences?
Cheers

thanks for the help you all, but another question
If I do crush it up if I put the powder in a very small amount of water and drank it, do you think that would be ok, I just dont like the SR.

It's up to you dude, as long as you are looking for threaputic benefits and not abusive effects?

I did that today and yesterday but it still is not doing what IR does? I am going to ask my doctor to put me back on IR. SR is very poor.

Second here!!
Methylphenidate IR tabs are like sugar cubes, they dissolve VERY quickly and take effect VERY QUICKLY,which ever way you choose to administer it? either good or bad, but the stuff is a very quick acting agent!!
From where i live Dextroamphetamine (5mg IR Dexamphetamine is a fight to get scripted, but quite frankly is less quicker acting, and longer acting-less abuse potentential?
But try telling that to PsyDocs!!
As far far as i am concerned Methylphenidate has FAR more abuse potential than the other ADD/HD meds, cept than Desoxyn (Methamphetamine) 5mg IR tabs which is the king!
Cheers
