I am also only geodon 120mg. My doc said we should try lamictal for my inner irratibility and racing thoughts. I only took it for 2 days, however I have noticed that my old feeling of depression is kind of returning. Otherwise I think a mood stabilizer might work out for me. I feel a lot more calm these past 2 days. Just wondering if this drug can actually cause deperession, and if there might be another mood stabilizer out there that can work for my symptoms without causing the depression.

Yes, Lamictal can cause depression; it did for me. Neurontin had the same effect on me. Of course, I've read that lots of people have used Lamictal successfully to help lift their mood.
In short, it's a crap shoot.
