I am going for surgry on the 23rd of this month and need to know how long it takes to get nicotine out of your system.

i want to say 2 or 3 weeks. but not 100% on that.
why do you want it all out of your sys before surgery?

I believe this is because nicotine (or perhaps carbon monoxide in smoked tobacco) slows and maybe prevents the healing of scars. It has something to do (I think) with oxygen reaching the skin for healing.
