I'm curious how folks have done with tianeptine. I'm interested in it for severe depression, anxiety, startle response, and hopefully lack of sexual side effects.

Blueberry, it's sexually neutral for me ( though I'm not really in a position to say). Startledness? Don't know. It might help, but it makes some people feel weird. Occasionally I feel a bit strange on it, but don't mind since it feels pleasant and I've felt depersonalised/derealised on and off for years. Should help with anxiety, but not if it makes you feel weird. Dunno about severe depression. It might help a bit.
I had said here that with tianeptine gave me the best sleeps in ages. This no longer seems to be true! I start investigations soon into whether its a glucose/insulin/cortisol/stress hormone thing or an overactive HPA axis or some immune related thingo or whatever. I can get by quite well on 5 hours a night, but not 4. Mirtazepine is too long acting. Do you know the difference sleep-wise between prothiaden and doxepin? (they're different things?)
