I'll be very interested to see the responses you receive. I may have done myself a disservice by avoiding this drug for all of these years.

What is it about this drug that you find attractive?

Have you tried reboxetine? What about desipramine?

I tried desipramine but it gave me a painful orgasm, like my prostate cramped up. Rebox is not available here in the usa I do believe. I dont know how it will be with regard to weight gain, some posts say significant, others say no.

I thought they didn't have ludiomil anymore. The TCA right? Once a doc gave it to me and I had to work all day the next day. I was like in a twilight sleep. It took all day to wear off and it was hard to work. So I ditched it I had to work. Love Phillipa

That was my first AD. A pure hell. It gave me very very bad EPS. People didn't even recognize me.

Sorry for the bad report. Bye.

Alpha blockers such as Cardura, Hytrin, and Flomax can alleviate the prostate difficulties associated with tricyclics and NE reuptake inhibitors. I had very good results even with the ridiculously anticholinergic Vivactil. As for Ludiomil, my understanding is that this is relatively sedating, and sedating ADs and I do not get along, so I never had any interest in trying it. Of course, it also has the seizure thing, which appears to be real and quite a bit worse than Wellbutrin. My impression is that this drug is totally obscure and very rarely used.
