Hi,
I've read that these two drugs are similar in their action, yet Cymbalta caused a lot of agitation and anxiety for me, yet Effexor didn't.
Has anyone else had this experience with Cymbalta or taken both drugs at different times with different results?

so why don't you stick with effexor. I would be happy if anything worked for me.

I maxxed out on effexor at 300mg and was switched to cymbalta for the poop out. I'm up to 100mg Cymbalta and have felt great the last year or two. I just take a day at a time. No crying on Cymbalta, though, well maybe a litle bit, but absolutely flat with effexor.
