Hello! I am slowly going on Lamictal and titrating down on Topamax and then d/cing it. I am
1) kinda nervous about starting Lamictal; and
2) kinda nervous about being on both meds at the same time.
I drive a lot for work and am also sort of worried about the infamous rash. Anyone been on both meds together? Are the side effects worse when on them together? I have been on Topamax for years.Thank you very much,

I've never been on topamax but on lamictal. The rash is very uncommon and it's important to go up very slowly on it. Do you have a starter kit? Love Phillipa

I haven't been on Topamax but you don't want to just stop and take another one. I don't think it will be bad to have both in your system because the taper up on Lamictal is very slow. You'll probably be off the Topamax before you even get to your necessary dose of Lamictal. The rash shouldn't happen if you do it very slowly as directed.
