Pregnant and what to do?

Posted by thefragile11706 on March 23, 2008, at 18:04:48

My last pregnancy I tried to get off my Effexor XR....I was at 225 and went down to below 150 and had extreme problems, had to go back up to 225.

Now this time I admit to having a difficult time coping. I am at 150 and have been at that dose for a while, since sometime middle last year. I'm also currently on Travacor, a natural med supervised by my naturopath that sort of acts as a natural upping of Effexor without actually doing that. My doc wants me to try Lamactil as well, or I can slowly start to go back to 225 for Effexor, which I haven't been on in quite a while. My hormones are very difficult to cope with and I don't know if I should mess with things or leave them as they are and hope things get better. I am approx 10 wks pregnant, though I don't have that for sure, as my first appt is tomorrow.

I just don't know what to do anymore. Any help?

I would get your pdoc and your OB/GYN together and come up with a treatment plan for you during your pregancy.

Believe it or not, but the OB/GYN will most likely have a better idea of what drugs are safe and work during pregnancy than your pdoc. I would definately get those two talking to each other.

Seldom
