Some interesting documentaries concerning psychiatry that you can watch online:
"The Trap" is a three-part documentary produced for the BBC by Adam Curtis. It's not exclusively about psychiatry, but also deals with subjects like politics and human behaviour.
Part 1, "F**k You Buddy": http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=404227395387111085

>The BBC documentaries are probably OK (they usually are), but the last two sound like sensationalist rubbish. In particular, remember that the so-called "Citizens' Commission on Human Rights" is run by Scientology.

I wasn't aware of that CCHR was connected to Co$. Although I detest Scientology, I still think the documentary is worth seeing.

Thanks for posting these. I've seen the first 10 mins of the first BBC one & it sounds interesting.
The higher-res versions are available at torrent sites too, so I'm grabbing those.
I love a good theory. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story too...! Ahhhh.....who knows. I think it's good to peer into the mess we call society & give it a good shake now & then.
There goes another 2GB of this month's quota...!

No, the one I saw was on (perhaps) SBS a year or so ago and was called 'The Power of Nightmares'.
This is the end of the thread.
