Has anyone been in this situation? How about stopping seizure meds before an operation?

Bimini that is definitely a question for your doc and the anesthesiologist. Is it long surgery? General or Twilight? Love Phillipa or local?

Thanks Phillipa. Revolving door, maybe 3 - 4 hours, I hope. I told my surgeons I don't want general, someone would have to carry me out of the hospital. Haven't met the anesthesiologist, don't know if I have any input. Without Provigil I might fall asleep on the table naturally, I've done that before. I decline novacaine for dental work too if I can. I prefer pain to what anesthesia does to me. Those doctors only know the scans and test results on paper, but they don't know me.

Here is what my instructions were: no vitamins and supplements 5 days prior, no Provigil the day of surgery. No instructions on seizure meds yet.
If someone knows of any resources where I might find information about this, PLEEEEEEEASE let me know. I have very low average core temperature, my body doesn't regulate temp fluctuations well. Provigil has been noted to cause temp drop during general.
Doctors are reluctant to tell me when they don't know. I would feel so much better if I wasn't lied to so much. I don't know if there has been any research done on this. Maybe people like me are the monkeys.
