hey manic, I think there are alot of people out there that get stressed, depressed around Christmas time. "Us people", with our clinical diagnosed disorders, probably suffer more than the average person, but I believe they suffer to a certain degree as well. With us, any little sense of sadness can send us spiraling into an anxiety ridden depression, where the "others" could probably battle through it with not much though.
But ya, I know what you mean, it takes every ounce of strength I have to provide a happy, loving, time for my wife and kids through the holidays.
I would feel guilt to no end if my depression took away from my kids happiness.
I also know my family is understanding so if I were to fall into despair during Christmas, they would do all they could to help and support me, as they most often do.
And that's the greatest gift of all.... Family.

Take care my friend, Rick

The holidays are a bad time for me as well. I can't tolerate things as much and my mood is much lower than usual.

At least we are almost done. Just have to get through NY Eve and day. :)

You aren't a "bah humbug", don't worry.
