I haven't found much linking emsam and social anxiety. I read in the Robert David thread that it helped him. I'm still trying to get around the dexadrine thing--it's very prosocial for me--the ONLY thing that has helped this issue.
I'm not stuck on trying emsam--I thought it might be worth it since ssri, snri's don't seem to do it....however....
Any thoughts?
Thanks again,

Hi FB,
Hope you are well. I'm still not clear why you are not using the dex. if it is so pro-social for you. Does it have other side effects? I know that Provigil really gives me a lift but also gives me a crash and probably, certainly increases my anxiety. It's definitely a trade-off. What's your experience like with the dex.?
I was on Ensam for a while, a few months then it began to poop out, I had to raise the dose and eventually developed a rash in my mouth so had to stop taking it. At first it was the best AD I had taken. I think even if I had continued, the poop out would have continued too. I don't remember exactly what it did for my anxiety.
Wish I could be more help.
I'll look for your further posts.

When my doctor first started using Emsam, he found that it more effectively treated social anxiety than it did depression. I haven't spoken to him about it lately, so I don't know if his SA patients have remained improved.

Fb funny you should post this today as was e-mailing earlier with Robert. He took EMSAM for energy then went off and isn't on it now. He was taking klonopin for anxiety now weaning off it. I've heard if you take a break of a few days off providgil it continues to work. No personal experience. Love Phillipa

Hi all and thanks for your info and questions--
Zana, I don't think the dex is a long term solution, unless it lightly supported (augmented) another med. Right now, with my mood instability, it leaves me ragged and sometimes dysphoric the end of the day.
Scott--thanks for the encouraging info. I'll continue to dig.. My shrink likes articles printed out of pubmed, etc.
Phillipa, I appreciate you input and support--thanks.
