Hi to all.
I've been hooked on benzo's for over 10 years now. Lately my intake became erratic and dangerous like 4 -6 mgs of clonazepam + 24 mgs og bromazepam + 20 mgs of diazepam and so on. In the pas few years I had 2 inpatient detox failures. After years and years of research and firt-hand experience with carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine slow tapper etc. etc. I decided on this: Today I started on 800 mgs of gabapentin and 3 x 5 mgs of baclofen. This will work. I will keep you poste on the progress, and my past history of 12 years on meds and other relevant details. I would appreciate your input.
All the best.

What was your experience with oxcarbazepine?
I hope your current strategy works.

I am unsure as to waht you are wanting to mean here. If you could post answers to the following here, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.
A. What criteria do you use, if any, to make the claim that {This will work}?
B. If it will work, is that to mean that taking those drugs will enable you to be free from benzodiazepines?
C. If you are wanting to be free from BZDs, are you wanting to mean here that you could do this by substituting gabapentin and baclofen to replace BZDs? If so, what research do you have, if any, that doing that will enable you to be free from BZDs?
D. Are you aware that Mr. Hsiung has made prohibitions to me here that IMHO if those prohibitions to me were not made, that I could post here a way for you to be free from BZDs and overcome addiction and depression?
E. redacted by respondent

Dear Scott,
Oxcarbazepine was effective for agitation and helped with anxiety to a very small degree, but was ineffective for tremors, tinnitus, insomnia, muscle spasms, jerks.
All the best.

Many thanks Phillipa,
3 days benzo free. I increased gabapentin to 1200 mgs. I experience dizziness, light headedness, some lack of concentration but I was expecting them. This morning, I woke up very bad with slight tremors and had a bad craving, felt like I wouldn't be able to make it and I took 400 mgs. of gabapentin and the craving went away after 30 minutes. Baclofen takes care of my fibromyalgia and muscle spasms very well. I will keep you posted.
All the best.

> LouA: Several case studies and my past experience with gabapentin and baclofen. (please do a pubmed search) I am not here to discuss pharmacology, theories, psychiatric approaches etc.
B: Yes.
C: Yes and please see:A
D: No, I am new here I am not aware. Why were you prohibited if you have a magic solution that would free people from BZD's and depression? Just curious, but this seems like you are trying to sell or promote something or some idea. If this is the case, thanks not interested.
This is my 4th day BZD free. I am not telling that what I'm doing is a magic solution for everyone, I am not trying to promote or sell anything. Just trying to share my experience and asking for support of other dear members. And if I can help anyone with my experience or answers to questions, it would be a pleasure. All the best.
