My doc is switching me straight from viibrd to effexor. Is it better to come off one and trhewn go on another or is it ok to just switch? I feel a bit odd.

I think it's okay to just switch. At least that's how all my pdoc's did it except went I went to emsam which is another class. They may have titrated doses differently here and there, but basically, sideways switches within similar classes have always been considered standard in my treatment.

Didn't your doc discuss how he wished you to do the switch? On my own I now taper and add at same time. Phillipa
