i had a health question about having bright yellow watery stools, and i get a response to stop eating CORN and EX LAX?????
is everyone here made to feel dumb, or is it just me?
1. i rarely eat corn
2. i never take ex lax.i found that to be a very rude comment while i was eager to see what the DOCTOR had to say, other than "go to your health professional"
thank you for the colorful respons, whoever you were. Doc, i would like to hear from *you*.

your reply to my question was very rude.
maybe you thought it was funny, but obviously you're not dealing with an issue like this.
eating corn and ex lax??
as i stated before...that was rude and an attack on my intelligence. do you *really* think a person asking a question out of concern for such a thing would feed it with corn and ex lax?? do such idiots exist, or only in your little mind?i don't take anything to help me "go." i have no problems "going" and if i did have problems eliminating, i wouldn't be asking this question, now would i?
if i'm going to receive cynical, sarcastic replies from you about things i consider serious to me, i would prefer you don't give me feedback.
thank you.
i tried to send this via email, but unsurprisingly wow!!!! he doesn't accept emails from here. geeeeee....why would that be?
i never expected to get such a rude slap in the face....what a welcome. my first post...wow.Linde

I'm sorry that your question did not receive the sort of response you were seeking, but what you seek isn't going to happen, either. There is no doctor here to answer you. Dr. Bob is a moderator, and yes he is a doctor, but he does not directly address anyone's medical concerns. He, in fact, must maintain strict boundaries against medical advice, as that would put him into the position of having taken a poster on as his client. I.e. there would be legal ramifications of his offering advice. There are only your peers, here. Just us posters.
I'm sorry your expectations of receiving a doctor's advice won't be met.
I did a look-see on Google, and what I found suggests that you may have a gallbladder/bile-related deficiency. If your body fails to produce and/or secrete specific enzymes and emulsifiers (bile) into chyme (partially digested food, after it has left the stomach), then digestion cannot proceed. There are chemosensors further along in the digestive tract which will sense that your body is not digesting that chyme properly, and it will continue on a speedy passage out of the body. You would probably be well advised to seek out an internist who specializes in liver/gallblader/digestion issues. Apart from the discomfort of experiencing this periodically, your body will also be deprived of essential raw materials to maintain its health. You have good reason to seek out a resolution of this problem.

Also, a lot of medications cause loose stool/stomach upset/nausea/gastritis/irritable bowel etc. So can the type of food you eat..
If you are on several meds it makes it difficult to determine which is the culprit. Particularly if there are several doctors involved.
There are anti-diarrhea agents available over the counter. Loperamide is a common Anti-D med available everywhere. But these should only be used short term, and more particularly not used in order to cover up potential other more serious forms of health issues of the sort Larry mentioned are ruled out.
There is a big difference between having loose stools a few days a month and for weeks. A few day's is much less a concern. But do speak with a doctor, or even a pharmacist before you start combining too many medications as it can become very complex and dangerous....

I took his post as more of a suggestion to get to a doctor then the other. Im sorry he hurt your feelings and I can't speak for him, but I dont think he intentionally meant to upset you. Its hard to judge when to use humor, some people feel better when others make jokes. Anyway I hope you feel better soon, it does sound like something to get checked by a doctor.
