Mind Racing AGAIN

Posted by Pandabear on August 12, 2004, at 0:19:18

For the past 3 nights...my mind has started racing again....I mentioned this to my therapist today and told her that im taking tylonol pm. I told her I didnt think that my thoughts were "racing as bad as they were months ago but that it was really hard for me to turn off my mind to sleep. She asked me why I was taking the medicine..for what purpose and i told her to shut off my mind.

Is there anything I can take that isnt used for mood disorders? Previously when they thought I was bipolar, I was on seroquel....but I dont have to take it anymore...I just dont know if i need to be bringing this to my psychiatrist attention or if I should wait it out. Right now its almost 2am and I am still wide awake. I cannot stop thinking about my sessions with my therapist, and with worries about work and things in general..is this normal? Im confused. I have been doing so well and its like I cannot go to sleep...what should I do?

ps. Keep me in your thoughts..the hurricane is hitting tomorrow..hopefully it wont be bad...

The only way I can get to sleep when my mind races, and it does that with the help of the wellbutrin I take to keep from crying, is to take 5mg of the sleep aid Ambien. My p-doc has told me it's non-addictive.

I a little bit bipolar2 but don't take any mood stabilizers.

(BTW I'm in west central Florida and freaking out quite nicely right now!)
