Does your T ever

Posted by JoniS on March 14, 2007, at 19:39:11

look like he/she is bored? I really really like my T (probably love) but several times lately I see him looking like he has that blank stare we get when we either have something else on our minds or we're bored or both. Ok I know he's human but it is hard not to notice this and feel not very important. Of course he does other things that let me know I'm important, but still, this is bothering me. It seems like now that I'm not extremely depressed and I'm getting to some kind of "normal" that he is not as interested in me. Sad, isn't it, that I'm so concerned about this? Anyone else have this happen and what did you do?

Yes totally I understand that exact feeling and I wondered if I made something up would he be more interested LOL. I think I was getting bored too and knew I was not overly depressed or anxious and really had no compelling reason to go anymore (other than I liked him, that was it, but was it a reason to keep going - for me no). Yes I do think it's one of the signs of feeling relatively some kind of "normal". One day when I sensed he was bored I just stopped talking and stared at him for a bit. Then he said something and we got back on the conversational track but I enjoyed the few moments of making him squirm. ha ha.

My therapist has looked sleepy, and I'm positive he's had to jerk himself awake sometimes. "Bored" is the *only* emotion he absolutely will not admit to. He passes it off as having had a big lunch or a late night. Or he'll say that others complain that his way of holding his eyes make him look sleepy.

Usually it's when I'm not really feeling in touch with my emotions, but when I try to make that tie in with him, he insists that no, its' the heavy lunch or late night.

I've tried the staring trick, but he lasts longer than me! I can't get him to squirm, and of course he'll not admit that he's bored. I'm going to try to get up the nerve to stare longer than him. <<he he>>

Hi JoniS,

I can't stare down my T, either. I think it's because I have contact lenses. She says she isn't bored with me, but I am bored with me saying the same old stuff, so maybe it's all in my crazy head.

I rarely look at my T so I dunno if she bored!!!!
And since I don't talk much, she DOES!
LOL!
So really, I dunno!
