She told me to cut out caffeine and get regular sleep first before I cut my meds.
I cut out caffeine for 2 weeks, but stayed up really late. Now I'm back to drinking caffeine.
She thinks I'm doing this because I don't want to go off my meds.
She assured me that she didn't think I would go back to old behaviours.
I dunno. I think I just like diet soda. LOL.

It's harder than it sounds.
I'm supposed to give it up because of my inner ear. Don't ask me why, I don't get the connection. Yet some days if I don't gulp several diet cokes, I'm going to be snoring at my desk. I only stay minimally functional through large doses of caffeine augmenting my Provigil.
He might consider that I'm noncompliant. I consider myself employed.

Sheesh. As a caffeine addict and a night person, I think she's being overly critical.
It's hard to go off caffeine. I've tried and I got terrible headaches and turned into a zombie.
Also, if your biorhythms make you stay up late (like mine do) it is hard to go to bed early. I just don't sleep before 2 am or so. Is she willing to give you a bunch of sleep meds to produce the kind of schedule she wants?

She or he sounds VERY overly controlling. Some of us need caffine to get through the day! Just be firm or find another pdoc if she finds you "noncompliant"
